Attention Related Disorders
Attention is a skill that develops. We would not expect an 18 month old child to sit and watch a whole movie but by three years of age some children are certainly able to sit for much longer periods and longer movies!
Whilst some children present with specific diagnosed Attention Disorders e.g. ADD or ADHD some children have delayed development of attention because they have Language Disorders or Processing Delay. Either way, learning how to listen is extremely important. Development of strong attention and listening skill will be integrated into all therapy programmes provided by Justine.
Justine can also help provide a differential diagnosis and specialist intervention in this area.
